Step-by-Step Guide
1. Entering the Alpha State
Find a quiet, comfortable place. Sit or lie down and close your eyes.
Look upward at a 20° angle behind your eyelids.
Take slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose, hold, then exhale through your mouth.
Visualize tension leaving your body with each exhale.
Count backwards from 100 to 1 slowly, deepening your relaxation with each number.
2. Deepening the Meditative State
Once in alpha, deepen the meditation by counting down again from 100, 50, or 25 to 1.
Beginners should start at 100, then work down to 50 and 25 with practice.
3. Programming Your Mind
In this deep state, program your mind with positive affirmations and visualizations.
Picture your goals vividly using all senses as if already achieved. Make it detailed.
Use present tense affirmations like you already embody the desired traits.
Repeat affirmations daily to instill positive beliefs.
4. Exiting the Alpha State
To exit, count from 1 to 5, telling yourself you'll be alert and refreshed at 5.
Example script: "1, 2, 3. At 5, I'll open my eyes, feeling wonderful. 4, 5. Eyes open, fully alert."
